Hello Maddie!
I thoroughly enjoyed reading your blog post on learning principles and education advancements. It is interesting to see your understanding of how open learning can be accessible without barriers.
I agree with what you stated involving the COVID-19 pandemic. I agree on how it transitioned us, whether we had a choice or not. However, I do think that choice was for the best, and it shows that distributed and open learning worked best during a global catastrophe.
You then mention how technology can evolve, and that AI and multimedia can be used as an educational resource beyond traditional learning methods.
To build off these ideas, I thought about where we are at now with online learning, and how the pandemic may have influenced this. Do you think we would be at the same pace currently with online education if the pandemic never occurred? For myself, I know my experiences with platforms such as Zoom and Packback would not have existed, as previous courses did not use any of these. Would another global event push us further into open learning, and would our current framework for open learning continue to maintain its structure and importance in the modern world?
Thank you!
