Hello Frankie!
I find your idea of grading videos like they do with text to be fascinating. I never thought about this, yet it seems ridiculous how this has not been blended into schools. With so much online creativity in the digital world, we end up fueling our learning in small amounts on things we did not know mattered. I also find it interesting how you mention TikTok as an educational platform. I am not familiar with how to app is structured, but I did not know they had so many educational videos! I have Facebook but it seems to lack categories for its videos.
To build on grading videos, multimedia, and educational apps, I began to think about how little the traditional framework of teaching has adapted to the modern world. Although we are using online learning, the integration of multimedia assignments, such as videos should be incorporated more often at the elementary levels! What do you think of this idea? It would be interesting to see younger learners become more experienced with making videos or TikToks for assignments rather than written or typed work. I also think it introduces them to an open and distributed learning environment, as multimedia contains an inclusive environment, and is easy to access.
Thank you!
